CLUB WELFARE OFFICER
Hello everyone!
I’m your Club Welfare Officer, here to help make sure our badminton club is a safe, friendly and welcoming place for all. My role is to support members by promoting good practice and being the first point of contact if anyone has a welfare or safeguarding concern.

I joined the club in June 2019 and, as well as loving badminton, I’ve played a variety of other sports over the years. Before retiring from full-time work, I was a PE teacher and have worked in education for over 40 years, holding numerous pastoral and safeguarding roles along the way. I am now pleased to be able to use this experience to support our members and ensure everyone feels safe, included and able to enjoy their badminton.
Think of me as someone you can come to for a chat if something doesn’t feel right, or if you just want advice about keeping our club a positive and inclusive space. Together we can make sure everyone enjoys their badminton experience with confidence and peace of mind.
